In 1873 the Nave was built. Later, on the 5th February 1875, the auditory was blessed by Bishop James Dannel of Southwark. In the 1880's the chancel and trancepts were added and also a priest house. On the 31st of December 1900 the church was blessed. In the 1970's and 80's the church and presbitary were restored and reordered in line with the lithergy decrees of the second vatican council. After his reordering the church was concecrated by Bishop Worlock. The belfry was also restored and a six peel of bells added. These first rang out on the evening of Monday the 28th November 1983 .
