Church of the Transfiguration, Canford Cliffs.

Originally a wooden church stood on this site. It was opened in 1911 and known as "Church in the Glen". The font comes from this church. Mr Lionel Gregory designed the Church Room, which was built in 1960. The choir stalls are Japanese oak. There are hand carved panels representing the four seasons. The rafters of the present building, competed in 1965, also come from the original structure. The church was consecrated by the Bishop of Salisbury in May 1965. The church tower contains 9 bells.
