There is an increasing public desire to have a new bandstand within the Arboretum grounds, here is one suggestion for a replacement. This is the Pagoda (or Gazebo) which will be removed from its present position when work commences on the nature garden. Both Strutt and Loudon stated that two open spaces were to be provided with provision for a bandstand and entertainment area. This will require English Heritage approval.
