World Dog Show in Bratislava

Congratulations to German Ch. Melodor Queen Mab Lofoi on winning her 5th CAC at the National Show Leipzig and has now qualified after her 1 year wait for her full German Champion VDH title. At her first show handled by myself Kasbian Bliss at Melodor (Ch. Beaufleet's Dodging Daggers at Melodor x Stecal's Strike It Hot) won Minor Puppy Bitch. Bliss was youngest in a class of 5 at the Scottish Kennel Club Championship Show under Judge Mrs Jill Hadleigh.

Congratulations to SA. Ch. Melodor Golden Bear at Montala (Int. Ch. Melodor Catch Me If You Can JW x Am. Ch. Buckridge's Morning Mist) on winning another Best in Show under Judge Mr Rajko Rotner from Slovenia.  "Bozack" is  South Africa's No.1Working Dog and also finished No.2 All Breeds 2008. Congratulations to owner/handler Mr Wayne Streak on this fantastic achievement.

Int Ch Melodor Free us From Evil JW won 1Ex, CAC, BOB & Group 3 at Douai Show in France under judge Mr. Mattera (Fr) and the Group judge was Mr. Voilrt.

Next day Gracie then won another 1EX CAC,CACIB,BOB & Group 2 at the International Show under Judge Mme Merry (Fr) and in the Group under judge Mme Indergaard (No) Many thanks to Nancy Daponte for doing a great job of conditioning and handling Gracie for me.

What a wonderful weekend in Ireland.

Multi BISS Ch. Melodor Burn The Witch  RES. BEST in SHOW !!!!!!

Melodor Akitas dominated at this highly prestigious show with Multi BISS Ch. Melodor Burn The Witch taking Top Honours under Mr Walter Schicker from Germany.  Brooke won the CACIB & Best of Breed and another new title of Irish Champion & European Winner 2009. Brooke then went on to win the Group under Dr. Tamas Jakkel (Hungary). Brooke then won RES. BEST in SHOW to a standing ovation from all the judges and spectators under Judge Mr Sean Delmar (Ireland). Huge congratulations to Brooke's proud new owners Natallia & Oleg of Akita Villa who came all the way from Belarus to support her. Not forgetting Brooke's wonderful handler & friend Fabrizio Manni who presented Brooke in excellent condition for this fantastic win.

I am also very proud of Ch. Beaufleet's Dodging Daggers at Melodor who won the dog CACIB, Green Star & new title of Irish Champion. My young bitch Ch. Melodor Hotter Than Hell also had a fantastic result winning Res CACIB from the Open Class.

Dodger is the sire of Multi BISS Ch. Melodor Burn The Witch and Melodor Emerald Queen who was Best Puppy in Breed and is owned by Jenny & Mick Farrell (Starchaser) and litter brother Melodor One Of The Boys who won Puppy Dog Class owned by John Dalton.

I would also like to thank all the exhibitors ringside who were very sporting and for everyone who has sent their congratulations from all over the world.

A special mention to all the lovely Irish people who made us feel most welcome, we had a grand time!!!!

Congratulations to Ch. Dodger's daughter Tuireann Konigan Der Nacht at Melodor who had a tremendous day by winning Best of Breed on both days from the Junior class. This was from an entry of 60 Akitas present beating many top winners. To top it all Kimi then went on to win FCI Group 5. Many congratulations to Kimi's proud owner Veronika.

At the Canberra Royal Show a daughter of our Ch. Ruthdales Ready To Rule born from frozen semen called Daykene Pure Evil won the Bitch CC from the puppy class. The judge was Mr. Enrique Filippini (Argentina) beating Multi BIS winning Champions. Congratulations to owner/breeder Tabitha Buckley.

Some late news that Melodor Shaka Zulu  won Exc.1 CAC, Best of Breed & Best in Show (from intermediate class) at the National Specialty American Akita Club of Russia (39 dogs) in Moscow under Breed Specialist Judge Rafael Garcia (Spain) Oct. 08

Next day at the Russian all Breed Championship Show Melodor Shaka Zulu again won Exc.1 CAC, Best of Breed, Best of Group & Best in Show (from intermediate class) this time under Breed Specialist Judge Carmen Navarro (Spain)

Many congratulations to Zulu's owners Gennadij Stankevich & Igor Trukhmanhov for this superb win with Zulu under two breed specialist judges.
