1. How long have you been dj'ing ?
Have been playing out for 6 years.
2. How did you get into dj'ing ?
First it was simply the music – I could only get the tunes I wanted on
vinyl. Secondly I was involved with several DJs and sound-systems.
3. What style music do you play ?
I play Deep House and Tech House. I also like (to mostly listen) to
other
genres including Funk, Electro, Ambient, Techno, House, Indie, Blues,
Jazz,
and Classical.
4. Likes and dislikes ?
I like music and the company of good friends.
I dislike overcooked vegetables and arrogance.
5. Venues/Radio stations played at ?
Pulse Radio – The Lions Den – Guest.
Clubbed out Radio – Liquid Country Sessions - Guest Host.
Several Soundsystems as a resident and guest - the main ones being:
Femi-9, Peg (London), Meow, Krunch (Peterborough), aem, Percussion, Smokescreen
(Nottingham), Random, Deep (Leicester).
Venues have included: BluePrint, The Rescue Rooms (Nottingham), Public
Life
Bar, Turnmills (London), The Attic, Nomad (Leicester), and many
underground
free parties in the natural woods of middle England.
6. Favourite tunes/artists ?
Oh gosh, so many! Current Deep favourites are Demarkus Lewis, and
Nottingham’s own Inland Knights.
Others include Silicon Soul, Chris Gray, David Alvarado, GFlame, Mr G,
Groove Amada, PlantLife, Biosphere, Banco De Gaia, Aphex Twin, The
Doves,
Underworld, Mozart, and Rachmaninov.
