Fans and memorabilia collectors are in for a treat. Multi-platinum selling artist and multiple Brit award winner Will Young has decided to sell his personal belongings for charity. Will has linked up with Ebay to try and raise as much money as possible for the 3 charities for which he is a patron. Mencap (which supports people with learning disabilities), Positive Action South West (supports those suffering with HIV and the Aids Virus and their carers and families) and Women's Aid (which supports victims of domestic violence) are set to benefit from the profits of this 10 day auction.
A selection 21 'Money Can't Buy' items (mostly clothing) will be available, at staggered intervals during the day, including a quadruple platinum disc presented to him for his album "Friday's Child", a selection of Will's renowned hats, a shirt from his tour worn to perform "Very Kind", customised clothing and even a shirt from his school days! Will says; "I'd like to raise as much money as possible for the charities I support, but every little bit helps. It should be good fun to do it this way - I hope people are supportive." Trilby Hat -sold for £2,000
Will wore this trilby on the Arena Tour 2004 for the performance of 'Over You' on the night his live DVD was filmed. He also wore this trilby for 'Very Kind' performances on the same tour.
