BEST DAY OF HIS LIFE: WHEN I WAS AT UNIVERSITY I WAS A BIT DEPRESSED FOR A TIME, BUT ONE DAY, I WAS SITTING OUTSIDE EXETER CATHEDRAL WHEN I SUDDENLY REALISED I FELT HAPPY AGAIN. I'LL NEVER FORGET THAT MOMENT.

WORST DAY OF HIS LIFE: I HAD A HANGOVER AND I WAS GOING TO MANCHESTER TO ATTEND A LECTURE GIVEN BY AN EXAMINER. I MISSED MY TRAIN AND IT TOOK ME SEVEN HOURS TO GET THERE. I ALSO LOST MY WALLET AND THE KEYS TO MY HOUSE. I ONLY GOT TO HEAR THE LAST FEW MINUTES OF THE LECTURE AND THEN THE GUY SAID THAT I NEEDN'T HAVE MADE THE EFFORT BECAUSE HE COULD HAVE SENT ME THE NOTES THROUGH THE POST.

STRANGE FACT:CILLA BLACK ALMOST RAN HIM OVER WHEN HE STEPPED OUT ON THE ROAD WITHOUT LOOKING. SHE CAME SCREECHING TO A HALT AND ASKED HIM IF HE WAS ALRIGHT BEFORE SHE DROVE OFF.

Before Pop Idol

William went to Exeter University (so did my Brother) at 19 and received a 2.2 in politics. He finished in summer of 2001 and moved from Hungerford to Ladbroke Grove in a rented apartment with friends from school. He started to sing at University in productions as well as appearing on the catwalk in fashion shows and the occasional photographic work. William is currently in his first year at The Arts Educational school in Chiswick, he is doing a musical theatre course for 3 years and has a scholarship to the school.

Family

William's mother Annabel is a full time housewife and mother and lives with his father, a business man in Hungerford, Berks. After singing on the show Will joked that his dad would have gone mad if he'd have taken Simon's insults and said 'Get the shot gun Annabel'.
William has a twin brother Rupert (not identical) He also has a 26yr old sister, Emma who is studying English, she has a son called Jacques who is 3yrs old.

Work

William is currently in his first year at The Arts Educational school in Chiswick, he is doing a musical theatre course for 3 years and has a scholarship to the school. He has spent the past few years in part time restaurant jobs and has tried his hand at gardening and being a P.A at Sony music.

He represented his school in rugby, football, basketball, athletics, long jump and triple jump.
