The journey seemed to go quicker today, and we arrived at the track at 8:45am..
We were to meet Katie and Laurence, who knew from last year's Silverstone Grand Prix (though Katie and Alison known each other from 2006), anyway we arrived before them, so we headed to go snap in our favourite spot, when my phone rang saying they had arrived, so walked back to 'Bridge' were we hugged each other, as we'd not seem them for ages,
We took photos though the fence again at Abbey and saw Vettel and Fisichella go off onto the grass!, and the RAF were out in there planes practicing for the red arrows disply next week!, but eventually went upto the top of the stand there.. we cheered everytime Mr. Button went past, and the commentator also told us he did the most laps yesterday :D
We stayed at Abbey for a while, before deciding to head down to Club, on the way we went for pit stops, Coffee's and it started to Rain.
Also Karen phoned Katie's mobile, and said did we want to meet up? Katie told Karen we were heading down to Club... We got to Club, sat down in the front row, and standing front of us was Karen, with her hands on her forhead looking for us in the crowd.. I instantly recognised her photo on the forum and went KAREN.. she looked at me, we were right under her nose!, We moved further round the stand and sat in two rows, watching the cars come round Club, Karen and Dave have Paddock Passes through a work mate for themselves (lucky guys)..
We'd love to get into the paddock.....
And then a plan started to hatch...., but it was nearly 12pm.. Karen and Dave were parked over in the paddock and wanted to go back to there car for lunch, so we all left club as well, and decided to sit at the Luffield A complex until they stopped at 1pm for lunch.

As we walked back to the car, we said goodbye to Katie and Laurence.. only to get to our cars and see we were just a foot away, and the car infront of Laurence's car was gone... so he moved his car to the spot. Now we couldn't loose our cars later..
we all ate our lunch round the boot of my car, Alison had made my sandwiches (as I was having a bath the night before), so it was a surprise what they were. two little marmite sandwiches, and two little peanut butter (yummy), then applied suncream, and talked about the paddock....
We headed back to Luffield Complex, where we sat in the grandstand, and watched the F1 cars, before moving down to the flat bit of Luffield and snapping through the fence. Katies phone then rang again.. Dave and Karen are gonna drive over, 3pm, so wait by the bridge...

We moved to the bridge at 2:45pm... and then Karen and Dave appeared.. the car can seat 5 people... I'm not sure this is going to work, maybe I should stay behind i'm saying... na Hannah come on.. So we all bundle in the back of Dave's car... thats right.. Alison was sat behind Dave, Katie was piggy in the middle, then Laurence.. and I SAT on Laurences lap, and Karen was sat in the passanger seat, this was bundle in Dave's car IN FRONT of the security too!!!!
Dave told us that this may not work (as we all sat cramped in the back laughing) and that we'd have to get through the tough security near the car park..
We're driving up and...... theres the security booth... and security chair.... EMPTY... WE'RE IN..., and Dave parks he car in the spot where he left, 2 mins ago..

Once out the car, we set about taking pics, as Katie and Karen go off down the paddock lane with the passes, We go and sit of the grass bank and watch the cars come out the pit lane and off through Copes..
Karen and Katie soon came back and met us, they saw Vettel going for a pee, as he was desperate, and didn't close the door!, then Alison went down the paddock with the pass with Karen.. she was ages, we throught she'd got talking to Jules... then I went alone with Dave, was really cool, we didn't see any drivers, look down to the back of the trucks to see if any drivers were about but no-one. We saw a guy scrubbing Nelson Piquets tyres, we asked if we cold pick them up.. dave could by two fingers each side, but I couldn't at all!
Walked up and down the paddock, and then headed back to the group, Laurence's turn!

There we were watching Mark Webber practice starts coming out the pit lane.. AND HE stalled! -he just stayed in his car, looking straight in front of him, the practice was red flagged, and all the Red Bull mechanics came running down and wheeled him backwards into the pit, to re-start him!

There was a few more red flags, and at 4:57pm another red flag, right session over, we saw Dave by the paddock pass guys and we all dived it, well session was over, we then saw loads of people round the Honda garage, and then out came.. Jenson, it was a scrum, I was getting crushed. Jules and Jenson managed to get out and over to the hospitality suit, and it was manic, I couldn't see, so I asked a guy in front of me, if I could come in, yeah of course.. so Alison dived behind me.. and we snaped some LOVELY shots.. he was doing a talk to some hospitality people, he said they were concentrating on next years car... he talked about his Windsor Triathlon, and he's doing one in Bath in a few weeks time... He was ment to be doing a PR event tomorrow but its been canceled -punches hand int he air -YES (all laughs) and he was going back to London tonight and then flying out to Monaco tomorrow for some training before the Silverstone GP..
He then left and he nearly got crushed to get back to his garage, it was awful..
We then talked with one of the Honda mechanic, who took our group photo outside the Honda motorhome, as we chatted to the Honda mechanic some more, Sebastian Vettel came out and signed photos, myself and Laurence wanted to get him to look at our cameras.. but he wouldn't answer to his name.. so Laurence said: "Sabastian, my girlfriend saw you having a pee earlier!" all the fans laughed and Sabestian went "huh?"- but got a us a great shot!

I went back to join Alison who was still talking to the Honda mechanic, before he went off into the motorhome, so we all left down the paddock, said goodbye to Dave and Karen who wanted to go as they had a long drive back, whilst we all took shots about the paddock, sitting on f1 tyres, and truck reflections.
we eventually left about 6pm..

It was a brilliant day, a testing day I won't forget...
