My name is Hannah, and this is my Silverstone Page.
This page is all about my day trip to Silverstone on the 1st June 2005!
THIS PAGE STARTED ON THE 2ND JUNE 2005
After going to Silverstone last year (2004) and watching the F1 cars doing testing, I wanted to do it again this year..... So I did!
Silverstone free testing 1st June 2005
Heres my acount of Silverstone again this year, I went along with dad.
We left home at 8:45am, and arrived at Silverstone at 10:01am!
The weather was overcast and we were due showers.
As we entered the car park we could hear the cars already on track.
I was really excited, raring to get watching.
We entered the gates, being given our tickets.
Just about to walk through the tunnel when a McLaren came past, then once out the tunnel, a Ferrari went past. of course I said to dad Ferrariiiiiiiii!
We stood at "Bridge" Corner for a while and we saw a Jorden.
Moving on further to Luffield corner we saw Jorden, Mclaren and Ferrari, then along into the stands at Woodcote, taking a few pictures
Then we went onto Copse corner (this is the furthest of the track open to the public) Taking pictures of the McLaren entering the first corner of the track.
The weather was freezing, so we decided to grab a hot drink and go into the pit straight stands.
At 12:45pm myself and dad decided to go back to the car and warm up and eat lunch. The race session was soon to be stopping for an hour (1-2pm) for lunch anyway.
On the way back to the car, I took some brillent pictures of Red Bull team, and Williams and McLaren through the fence mesh (I shouldn't have done really but other people were :P)
On the way back to the car it started raining, We had brought lunch with us, so ate that, read dads newspaper.

Then at 2:45pm we headed from the car park back to the race track.
As it was bucketing down with rain, we decided just to stay in Woodcote stand.
Eventually at 2:30pm I could hear an engine start. Looking over to the pits, I saw a ferrari come out. my exact words were: oh ferrari come out, so stopped dead in my text, shoving phone in pocket and grabbing camera out of the other pocket, I got a picture of the ferrari. the track was so wet, you could see all the spay coming up, I couldn't even see it go down the pit straight because of all the spray. After a second lap ferrari went back into the pits :(
Then at 3pm another car started, it was either at Williams or a Mclaren. you can hear any car from the track, but all of a sudden it went dead quiet, the next thing we know the lights are flashing in the pits, the lights over at bridge corner were flashing (you could see the lights from woodcote) and the start/finish line has the lights on red.
The an ambulance went out with his blue lights flashing. The ambulance came back round with a driver in the passenger seat, and the recovery vehicle in tow. The car was covered up - so we're still not sure who it was.
Once everything was cleared the lights went off, and nothing happened. Them at about 3:45pm a Williams driver came out. Then at 4pm a Red Bull driver.
As nothing else was happening, and lots of other people had left, we decided to head home, we were tired, and dad was bored.
I had a fun day, and I spent my day think it was Barrichello, except it wasn't... it was their test driver Badoer. Barrichello's and Badoer's helmet are very similar.
