I met Alison, Katie and Laurence at Wembley Park station, we quickly grabbed a subway for lunch before heading to the stadium, we we brought scarfs, and programmes.
We said goodbye to Lourance and Katie, who had to pick up their tickets from the box office.
Myself adn Alison went round to the East end of the stand, and after going through the turnstyles and up lots of stairs, we walk out into the grandstand, up a few more steps and and found our seats.

We are sitting at the east stand and have got a GREAT view... I also took two cameras with me! -my old HP R717 camera, and my new Canon g9 camera which i'd only had for a week...

I started off using my HP camera, as we watched/photographed the first rounds there were 8 races in round one.. the first two to take part which was Michael Schumacher (Germany) V Henning Solberg (Norway), in which we were cheering on our favourite driver ever Michael Schumacher.. and he won (yay!)
Then it was Jenson Button (England) V Alister McRae (scotland), of course we cheered on our current favourite F1 driver Jenson Button, and he won (well done Jens!)

Johnson and Bordais then raced, I took a few piccys, but started 'chimping' though my pics to see which to delete...

then it was David Coulthard's go.. so starting snapping away again...

I can't remember all what happened as it was last year, and never did a write up, but I do remember in round two they had ROC buggys which were fun, and sebastein Bordais crashed it into the wall!

David Coulthard and Sebastein Vettel did laps in the F1 cars, in which DC kept stalling the thing! and had to be pushed back to the side ever so often whilst Vettel would just drive right round him!

They had a Lovely tribute to Colin McRae who died earlier in the year in his helecopter, All the drivers lined up just under the start/finish line whist a Scottish pipe player played. Myself and Alison stood up in tribute for it, though the couple behind didn't like it, cos they couldn't see and asked us to sit down, we said no! we're standing up for the tribute...

In the interval we went to get hot drinks, but once at the counter, they had run out of paper cups.. one was found, and then they gave her the wrong drink she'd requested, and then we had to hunt for some sugar, which we never found... we hope that in 2008's Race of Champions they sort out that problem!

We went back to our seats with the cappichino, and settled for the second half of ROC, I remeber I still had cold feet and kept banging my trainers together, annoying the bloke sitting next to me, and Alison who was trying to take pics on her camera which was on her monopod!

I can't remember much else apart from the exciting last races, between Michael Schumacher and Mattias Ekström racing for the Champion or Champions, the first of the two races were in different cars, and round one Mattias Ekström won, I recorded it on my G9 Camera.. which then died, so out came my old HP camera, Round two Mattias Ekström won again just as Michael lost on the last corner by spinning his car.. was fantastic!

It was a great cold day, and was nice to be able to say I've been in the OLD Wembley Stadium and the NEW one...

We met up with Katie and Lourance back at Alisons train station.. once back at Alisons I don't think we all hit the hay until the small hours of the morning..

And I'll be back for the 2008 Race of Champions, again being held at Wembley Stadium
