- (14/01/07) On January 12th, the production team for the Children of Huang Shi, including Chow Yun-Fat, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and Radha Mitchell, was seen in Tiecheng, Xiandu, where they did three days of filming back in last December when Michelle was in Hengdian.
- (15/12/06) TingTing posted on Alyse's messageboard: last week the cast have left Gan Su province in north-west China and came to the warm south part of China, the Two of Hengdian.
The bad news is that Both Jonathan and Mitchel got bad cold while in Gansu due to the cold weather, Mitchel has recovered but Jonthan still doesn't feel good. the news said he was seen vomitted on the site(feel sorry for him), so his agent won't let the journalist to interview him at present, nor photo taking, so I haven't got his photo in Hen Dian yet. the good news is that they have invited the best doctors from Shanghai to cure him,and the whether in south China is nice, so I guess he'll recover soon:)
The reporters said they've heard that Jonathan didn't have a good temper, but when they see him, he is the opposite: friendly and with good manner, nod to them with smile, but looked a bit tired and thinner than before, but when the director called "action", he is in the film immediately.
It is said his part in the movie is a bad-tempered journalist, while micthel's part is a drug- addicted nurse, they all have their own problems, but when they see they are changed in the process when they offered help to the orphans.
- (08/12/06) Michelle said in an interview on the 6th Drcember that she will join the filming team on Saturday in Hangzhou, which is the capital city of Zhejiang Province and around 2-3 hours north of Hengdian.
- (07/12/06) On the 6th, Children of Huang Shi filmed the last scenes in Lanzhou at the old Governor's building of the Mongol Chieftain Lu Family with Chow Yun-Fat, Jonathan Meyers and Radha Mitchell. The filming team boarded a plane to the Eastern China on the 7th. All filming in Gansu province, which started on Nov. 13, is complete.
- (04/12/06) Since the names of Jonathan Meyers and Radha Mitchell are not very well known in China, the local media is more interested in Chow Yun-Fat and Michelle Yeoh. Michelle is not involved in the Gansu shooting, so Chow is the absolute focus. Reporters have tried to follow everything - from Chow's hotel room, his bodyguards, to all the scenes that are shot with him. Reportedly Chow Yun-Fat's Gansu part is scheduled to finish on the 4th.
