Well only Alison, Katie and myself made it down to Autosports Awards on the 2nd December 2007, and with our special contacts we found out Jenson would be going, and would meet us round the reception area of the Grovsner Hotel where the awards were taking place.
I met up with Alison at 5pm, at Piccadilly Circus's Eros statue, on the way to the Grovsner hotel we decided to head to the Courtyard of the Royal Institute of Art in London to see what they had going on. They had a Buddha made of metel, his body lifted off teh ground, but his head under a foot. It was funny, esp cos I ran under a foot and said to Alison "look I can fit under the foot!" of course later we got a picture of the Buddha about the tred on me!)

We were cold then and also awaiting for Katie, so we headed into Starbucks where I had a Gingerbread latte (very nice) and Alison a Soya tea, we applied our make up sitting in the window (both never got chance to apply at home!) then about 5:30pm headed down to Park Lane, Grovsner hotel, taking lots of pictures of Christmas lights on the way.

On the way Katie phoned me to say she had arrived outside the Grovsner Hotel, we finnally met up with her, they had the red carpet out the front, and a few dressed up people tried to get in through the doors which were shut, so we told them to go round the back, then we got a message from our contact to say to go round the back.

once round the back there were three rally cars in the long big drive way.
There were a few autograph and photographers, but they headed round the front eventually.
Standing there we were freezing, I became Alisons 'Model' as she was trying to get the right setting on her SLR camera. We had a blast.

There was parked at the top of the driveway near the enterance, a Mercades car, and then this bloke came down to us and said in 5 minutes time Lewis Hamilton would be presented with this car and will drive it round. True to this bloke word, Lewis came out with his brother Nicholas and got into the car, and Lewis found it hard to get over the speed bump. A couple of boys asked Lewis for autographs and he said "when I come back".... he never did!

Eventially Jules (Jenson's PA) and John Button (Jensons dad) arrived in the taxi, they walked down the drive back to us, Alison introduced us to John. Who then proceeded with 'European style' kisses... I didn't know how they worked but John was ok with that. We had a little chat, and John was really hopeful for next season, And Jules was heading back to Australia for Christmas. We took a few pictures with them, I also had in my hand a Christmas card signed by us lot to give to Jenson.. and Jules kept eyeing it up (should have given it to her!) and then they headed inside.
We then saw Jacky Stewart arrive in his chauffeur driven car, having a little chat with him through the car window as he snugged his coat and mouthed its cold, and then keep warm! when he got out the car he was wearing his scottish trousers, sadly my camera didn't take the picture very well, and came out too dark.
We then saw Damon Hill arrive (quite late), Jules then came out for a ciggie, Alison asked Jules for one, but then we were moved off the grounds to the gate as it was a "no smoking" through the gates.
Jules told us Jenson would meet us here... Jules went back in, and we waited and waited, but no Jenson, then we got a message from Jules to say he went in through another door. Annoyed we walked round the front and chatted to other fans who said they hadn't seen Jenson, So he did go through another door... we later found out he had his girlfriend Flee with him and I think he wanted to keep out of the press with it being Lewis Hamilton night.

After that we said goodbye to Katie (who hates Lewis -and the person she was avoiding tonight we saw being presented with a car! -lol)
Myself and Alison headed back to her flat (I stayed the night or two! -lol) we took pictures of the Christmas tree in Barkley Square and then Stella McCartney's shop full of Christmas lights and her aim was to go over the top with lights.

We waited for the bus (15-20mins) see every other bus, just not the bus we wanted , got cold and started to spit we decided we walk... then as we were walking our bus came by! we ran for the next bus stop, missed the first one, but another of the same numbered bus was behind it, so caught that! we stopped at a shop and got some food. And went back to Alison's flat.

A great evening, even without meeting Jenson, seeing his dad and Jules was cool, and seeing Lewis being presented his car was a treat as everyone else round the front missed it :D

Oh and I sent Jenson his card the next day and one for Jules, they both got them :D
