The Division One clubs which applied for qualification and passed are:
Beddau RFC, Caerphilly RFC, Newbridge RFC, Pontypool RFC (all in Div 1 East).

Pontypool topped the East Division, so will be promoted in place of Maesteg.

When and why did our nickname 'The Drovers' begin?
Answer: It was coined by Huw S Thomas, local journalist and stalwart of this website, some 20 years ago, when he was reporting for the Western Mail. It stuck and now it's used by us and by journalists and others far and wide.
