Two successful evenings raising £320 for the Chestnut
Tree Hospice.
This year the managers played two games. The first against the
U16 Athletic team at Wick FC's ground and the second against the U16
Youth team held at Worthing FC's ground. Both players and spectators
enjoyed two great evenings
of football in aid of charity and to celebrate the boys final season in youth
football.
Our thanks go out to Worthing Football Club and Wick Football Club for the use of their pitch
and facilities.
ACYFL Under 13's Challenge Cup Winners
Congratulations to our Under 13's Youth
team who won the Challenge Cup Final by 5 goals to 1 in a
well contested and exciting game against Shopwhyke Rovers.
ACYFL Under 14's League Division B Winners
Congratulations to our Under 14's Athletic
team who are this years winners of the division B title.
ACYFL Under 16's Invitation Cup Winners
Congratulations to our Under 16's Youth
team who won the final in an exciting game against Lancing
Rangers. The final score was 4 - 2 after extra time.
Players wanted
The boys under 10 Youth team will be moving to 11-a-side next
season so are looking for boys interested in playing football to join their team.

ACYFL Under 13's Challenge Cup
Congratulations to our Under 13's Youth
team for reaching the final of the Challenge Cup
(Southdown Garage (Gulf) Trophy). The final is being held on the
27th April at Arundel Football Club, kick off at 4:45pm.
ACYFL Under 16's Invitation Cup
Congratulations to our Under 16's Youth
team for reaching the final of the Invitation Shield. The
final is being held on the 20th April at Wick Football Club, kick
off at 1:00pm.
Presentation Night
The clubs end of season presentation night will be held on
Friday 16th May at the Assembly Hall. Please arrive by 7:00pm for
7:30pm start.
Annual AGM - amended date
The clubs AGM will be held on Friday 23rd May at the Worthing leisure Centre
starting at 7:30 pm any items for the agenda must be sent to Club
Secretary 7 days before the date.
Managers v Under 16's charity
match
The clubs annual charity match between the managers /
coaches and the Under 16's Youth team in aid of The Chestnut Tree
Children's Hospice will take place on Thursday 1st May 2008 at
Worthing Football Club in Woodside Road. Kick Off 6:30pm. Admission
£2.00 per adult, children are free.
Roy Pook Memorial Trophy Final
Worthing Minors under 13 Youth played Worthing United under 13 Youth
in an exciting and well contested final of the Roy Pook memorial trophy at Worthing FC's ground in
Woodside Road on Monday 3rd March. The game went to extra time with
Worthing Utd scoring in the final minutes to win 1-0. Our boys can
be proud of their performance and sportsmanship, a sentiment echoed
by our Chairman and managers. It was great advert for youth
football.

 We
are collecting the Tesco Sport for Schools and Clubs vouchers. Club
members are ask to collect these vouchers and pass them onto their
managers to be handed in at monthly meetings.
Sponsored Walk

We are currently looking for new players to form an Under
sevens squad for this coming season. Training will start in
September there is no charge. If you enjoy playing then you can sign
up for a full membership and friendly games will be arranged with
other local clubs. Both girls and boys are welcome and parents are
also encouraged to help out helping to run the team. Kit and
equipment is provided but players must wear their own shin pads and
appropriate footwear.
