S.T.A.G. were invited by Mark Olly to record the old building shown on the 1881 Ordnance Survey map as a dovecote. This is a 3.125 metre (about 10 feet 4 inches) square stone and brick building standing in a field East of Manley Old Hall farmhouse which Mark Olly has identified as a moated manor house platform and which his group is currently excavating.
