Landrover 101 - I have now sold this vehicle - Sorry to see it go, but there you are
My Landrover 101 Ambulance - Well, the front of it. That black bit at the top of the pic is the garage door, and no, it's doesn't fit into it.
Latest Picture of the 101, repainting has started. It's a shame to lose the Camo, but it is in serious need of a tidyup. I may re-apply the camo pattern afterwards.

The old interior (Left Hand Side)
The new interior - not finished yet, I'm redoing the interior
Inside the 101. Loadsa space
The Cab. This photo taken at eye level
I recently did a complete recon of seals on the wheels. For a detailed walkthrough, see this page. Oh, the Hi-res pics aren't there, if you want them, I'll send you the pictures.
Spot the difference - I've been playing with the photo editor
Just an idea........

Year later, changed color, and put new wings on. Count the headlamps
Ok, I havn't finished painting all of it yet

Daimler Conquest / Conquest Century
An old favourite, I practically grew up in this car. Believe it or not, at one point my dad owned 6 of these! This is the only roadworthy car, recently completely resprayed. It is a Daimler Conquest Century (100bhp) built in 1954.
Again, this time with wedding ribbons.
Me, being chauffeur for a friends wedding. You would not believe the amount of work put into this car to get it repaired and resprayed in 3 weeks for his wedding. Many many thanks to My Dad & Kevin, Mick, Nick and others.
Technical Specs:
Engine: Daimler Straight Six, 2.3, Cam in Block.
Head: (Conquest) Cast Iron, Single Zenith Downdraught - 80bhp (Conquest Century) Aluminium, Twin SU - 100bhp

Other: Leather interior, Century version had revcounter as well as speedo.

Series IIA 109" Recovery.
Series IIa 109" with Harvey Frost recovery hook. This vehicle was bought as a scrapper, but the recovery hook had nowhere else to go. So I repaired it, MOT'd it and it's been earning it's keep ever since.
Rear view, showing the Harvey Frost mounted in the rear tub. It is demountable, but it's heavy to lift off! The mounts in the tub bolt through and round the chassis.

This is how I've mounted the wingmirrors onto it. The original ones on the wing are completely inadequate for towing regularly. These are standard mirror arms and heads, you can get them from any commercial spares place, these are TTC.

A closeup of the Harvey Frost. The winch is hand operated, and surprisingly easy to wind up, although with the gearing it does take a couple of minutes to raise the towed vehicle.

View inside the Cab

Technical Specs:
Engine: Landrover 2 1/4, with Weber carb. Or sometimes a Zenith, depends on which has packed up recently
Transmission: IIA standard gearbox.
Brakes: Standard SWB 11"
Steering:  Steering Box Rebuilt after it exploded
Suspension: Leaf springs all round, Heavy Duty rears
Tyres: Front: Any old 7.50's I've got lying around
Other: Harvey Frost crane fitted at some point in it's life. I do the bare minimum to keep this vehicle roadworthy, it rarely lets me down

Series III 109" 2.6 IOE - Being Dismantled
SIII with 2.6 Six-pot IOE engine. This was for long distance/comfort work, it has a stereo and soundproofing fitted. Will (still) cruise at 75mph with overdrive in. However the head gasket is leaking water, and I can't get the head bolts out. I'm gonna scrap it when it finally blows, as it's not worth repairing. I shall use the parts for another project.

Technical Specs:
Engine: Rover IOE 2.6 Six Cylinder with single Stromberg CD175, head gasket leaking.
Transmission: III All-synchro (2nd worn) with Fairey Overdrive.
Brakes: LWB 1-Ton 11"
Steering: 1-Ton Low Ratio
Suspension: Leaf springs all round, heavy duty rears
Tyres: Front: 7.50x16 M/T on White 8-spokes
Other: Overdrive, Stereo, soundproofing, a nice drive, about 20mpg of water
