Dear reader

I have one week of timeshare for sale. It is an August week (2008: Sun Aug 3th to 10th) in a highly regarded resort on Costa del Sol in Spain. I am willing to allow you to rent the week for one year to check if you find it a suitable purchase.  As the week is in the Summer Holidays you find this 2 bedroom unit has a value much greater than the average week.

Here is the plan:-

a)      I propose you research Club Calahonda which is one of 5 resorts in Spain in the ‘Crown Resorts’ Group. They are managed together and some facilities are shared. There is a free minibus during the week (not weekends) that shuttles residents between the resorts, the shops and the beach.

b)       If you are interested in ceding your week to the RCI point system, you can obtain holidays across the world. Click on www.rci.com. It has some interesting reviews on Club Calahonda.  RCI description of the resort is Club Calahonda (Resort#1878) week 31(2008:Sun Aug 3th to 10th), 2 bedroom, 2 bathrooms. You will find it will provide 62000 RCI points. By studying other point resorts found in the resort directory you will learn its relative value. I can provide details about how you can cede the weeks to RCI to obtain the points. I can explain why it is best to buy a week and then cede it than to buy pure points which are more difficult to sell.

c)      You may decide to rent the unit from me for the first year to decide if it is ideal for further holidays. I will charge £600 for the rental but I will refund £300 if you purchase the week. I ask for a non-refundable deposit of £50 in order to contact the resort, make arrangements for your visit and send you suitable paperwork to give you confidence you will be made very welcome.

d)      The purchase price is £1900. An extra £100 is required by the resort’s agents in order to transfer the ownership to you. This provides you with accommodation for 6 people for the same week each year in exchange for the annual maintenance and service charge. In 2008 the maintenance/service charge was £300 after benefiting from the discount for early payment.

e)      I can be contacted by letter or by phone (01543 255909) or by email on brian@britcave.co.uk.

I hope I can be of service.

Yours faithfully
