VW EXPO 08
This was my first year at Paddock Wood; the last time I went to VW Expo was when it was at Billing Aquadrome -I have no idea how long ago that was!!
This show was set in Whitbread Hop Farm, with the Oast buildings as a backdrop. Inside the Oast village there were numerous attractions such as a waxwork museum, petting zoo, tank museum, children’s rides, café and we also found a Brewers Fayre pub just round the corner!
The show had a variety of traders, auto-jumble and craft; with some food stalls and the Dray Bar open for refreshments. Most of the VW camping was 2 fields away from the main show, with some people camping on the club plot (Brian, Lynne and co). There were adequate facilities, showers and clean toilets. The weather was gorgeous all weekend and I have the sunburn to prove it – ouch!
Overall, I must admit I was impressed with the turnout and the show was really good. Thanks to everyone who came along and it was a shame you couldn’t get on the club stand.
