Now where do I start…?

This was our 4th show at Battlesbridge, and was the first year that we’ve held the show on both Saturday and Sunday and it was a huge success!

Brian, Lynne and crew arrived on Thursday with all the good intentions of setting up the field but the weather soon put a halt to that idea. Friday was spent sorting out the field, marking up plots, etc and I arrived Friday evening to see that everything had already been done (my sneaky plan worked!).

On Saturday it rained non-stop, although this didn’t stop the Vee Dubs coming in and the field quickly filled up. Sunday was sunny and at least twice as many people turned up then on the Saturday, and previous years.

We had the usual Show ‘n’ Sine contest, with the classes spread across both days. Our club member Carl did a great job running this with the help of his two kids. Thanks Carl, and also thanks to Stewart for doing the judging!

We had a varied mixture of traders and food vendors and also a disco on the Friday and Saturday nights. We hope that those that attended had an enjoyable time.

Overall, the show went off without any trouble and those that helped out went away from the event happy but exhausted. Once again, thank you to everyone that helped out.

We’re all so proud that our little show has grown to become a big VW show on the calendar for so many. As we were all so busy, if any members would like to contribute to a show report it would be much appreciated.
