PEPPERCORN VW SHOW
I haven’t been to this show for a couple of years and heard horror stories of last years’ terrible weather and muddy grounds. This year that seemed a distant memory, it stayed dry ALL WEEKEND (although I was slightly disappointed after purchasing wellies and waterproof jacket earlier Friday morning – so I wore the wellies anyway).
The show had a good turnout, with around 50 traders plus auto-jumble. There was live entertainment Friday and Saturday night and the promise of free wine (not too sure what happened to that though!?!). There also seemed to be a lot to do for the kids, colouring competitions, etc.
The club plot looked quite impressive, although EVD can’t take all the credit with 4 Beetles, a Buggy, a Split and a Bay from Club V-Dub plus Druid’s Brew on the stand… still, it looked good.
For next year, hope to see more toilets at the other end of field and perhaps a bar on site?? Still, the Plough up the road was a nice pub within walking distance, tee hee.
Note from Brian… thank you for those of you who phoned to say that you weren’t coming, it always helps us organise the club stand, etc.
