Knebworth Classic Vehicle Show
I have not been to this event for a few years and was dying to see if it had changed and it had. It seemed a lot smaller than I remembered but that was to be expected, the amount of vehicles and stalls seemed to have shrunk. I arrived on the Saturday afternoon and with the help of Scott and his friends set up club stand equipment plus the new small gazebo that we were going to use as a bathroom (the loos at Knebworth are a fair walk away down hill).
If you got bored with looking round the show, which I did very quickly, you could take a look around the house and gardens for a small fee. I’m pleased to say that the house had not changed that much as far as I could remember but the gardens have. They now have dinosaur land set in a woodland walk, the maze had grown a little bit taller too, and I remembered when it was planted.
This show for me was a chill-out show, time to enjoy chats with members and relax. Some members enjoyed a game of football on the Saturday and Sunday night adult’s v kids. I declined to play, there was no way was I was going in goal – I’m not stupid when playing on a hill. Some of the younger members of the club (i.e. Scott and his friends) went off ghost hunting spooky!!!!
The weather was kind to us. Thanks to those that came along and helped with setting up and taking down of the stand equipment. I hope those of you attended had an enjoyable weekend.
Also, just wanted to say how sorry we were to hear that one member had an eventful journey home and that his beautiful Split-Screen van caught fire. I’m so relieved to hear that the Chris and his family were safe and unharmed.
