Frances Yockey, 71, Osage City, died Monday, Dec. 11, 2000, at a
Kansas City, Kan., hospital. Mrs. Yockey had been a real estate agent in
Ponca City, Okla., and an apartment manager in Oklahoma City. She was born
March 15, 1929, in Osage City, the daughter of Albert and Thressa
Belle Tudgay Groff. She lived in Oklahoma City for 10 years before she
moved to Osage City two years ago. Mrs. Yockey attended the United
Methodist Church in Melvern. She married Charles Ray Yockey on Aug. 4,
1946, in Strong City. He died Feb. 22, 1984.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Yockey, Melvern, and Garry Yockey,
Moore, Okla.; a brother, Charlie Groff, Gardner; a sister, Pearl Green,
Osage City; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
