I have designed this site to provide information about my work. The online portfolio carries a selection of my work. So please take your time to look around and feel free to contact me if you need any more information.
I trained in graphic design at Birmingham College of Art, whilst there I designed the now familiar Union Jack on a Bowler Hat image of Britain.
The original Bowler Hat was recently sold at Christie's in London to an American collector.
After graduating, I was an advertising agency Art Director for 8 years, before becoming a freelance illustrator in 1977. Since then I have worked on many national and international advertising campaigns, that include companies such as;
Air India
Athena International
Barclays Bank
Birmingham Airport
Boots
British Airways
Cadburys
Dunlop
Ind Coope
Jaguar Cars
London Transport
Millar Lite
Mitsubishi Motors
Rover Cars
Virgin Airways
Volkswagen
Walkers Crisps
In the last few years in addition to advertising work, I have been working on historical illustrations for museums, including The John Bunyon Museum at Bedford, and The National Space Centre in Leicester, as well as museums in Holland and the Middle East. At the same time I have worked on Fine Art Prints and Posters, with images published by Scandecor in Sweden and The Art Publishing Group of New York. Over the years I have become interested in the Posters and images of the 1920s and 30s, and I try to bring some of the influence and flavour of these to my current work. Look through some of the images on this web site and see for yourself my versatility in style and subject matter.
I am currently living and working in Leicester, England.
