About the apartment and location.

This is a two bedroom raised (approx 8 steps) ground floor duplex apartment situated on a secure gated community, with air conditioning / heating. It benifits from the use of two all year round communal swimming pools, the apartment is one of the best situated on the complex and has a fabulous view over one of the pools. The front terrace also has the benifit of sunshine from early morning until late afternoon/evening. It is a pleasant well furnished apartment comes with digital satellite TV with 64 channels including all the english ones. It has it's own private off road gated parking space attached to the apartment.
It is located in the lovely area of Playa Flamenca, which itself is just outside the main town of Torrevieja. Playa Flamenca is situated about 45-50 minutes drive south from Alicante airport, or you can fly into the smaller but rapidly expanding airport of Murcia ( San Javier ) which is about 15-20 minutes south of Playa Flamenca, Both are served by a lot of the major airlines, including Thomas Cook, bmibaby, Easyjet, Thomsonfly, Airflights direct, Ryanair, Monarch, Jet2 and more. My tip is to check these sites regularly as the prices change dramatically from day to day, and advise to book well in advance if possible.
For car hire I would recommend car-jet / Sol-Mar they operate 24hrs a day at Alicante airport, and till late at Murcia airport. I have used them on several occasions and find them very good, and competitive.

The area has a lot to offer for all types of family, with well over 300 days of sunshine a year, clean fresh air and clear waters, the apartment is within 20 -25 mins walk from Playa Flamenca beach, one of the many magnificent sandy beaches in the area. For the more adventurous there are numerous championship golf courses, there are two water parks in the area one in Torrevieja called Aquopolis, or if thats not enough Benidorm is only 1 hour away where there is another water park called Aqualandia also in Benidorm there are two theme parks Terra Mitica, and only opened in 2005 is Terra Natura. If non of these takes your fancy, there are lots of interesting places to visit, Elche which is famous for it's palm tree forest and shoe industry. The city of Murcia is only about an hours drive away with an abundance of intriguing things to see and do. There are a number of markets held in the area on different days of the week, including a very good one within walking distance from the apartment, literely a couple of minutes away across a Ravine. A must do market is at Los Montesinos, about 15-20 minutes drive away held on a Sunday in amoungst the orange groves.

And if all that is not enough, for the more adventurous there is now a newly opened fully aproved and registered scuba diving school, situated between Punta Prima and Torrevieja, called Max Scuba Diving. For the more energetic there is even a bike hire company in the local area, called The bike shop, and they provide a free delivery and pick up service.

There are a large number of local bars, shops and Restaurants, some within walking distance of the apartment, Playa Flamenca commercial centre is only 5-10 mins walk with dozens of bars and restuarants, and quite a lively night life if thats what takes your fancy, also within walking distance is the commercial centre of La Florida, again with shops, bars & restaurants, and also the commercial centre of Via Park I & Via Park II which are within walking distance as the others, this one also has a wide range of bars and restaurants.There are endless amounts of others within a few minutes drive, stretching from Cabo Roig to La Mata

Kitchen The kitchen: is well equipped with fridge, cooker, hob. extractor fan, microwave and all the other kitchen essensials. Off the kitchen are double sliding patio doors leading to a small utility area where the washing machine is located, and a pull out clothes airer.





The main bedroom The main bedroom: has a double bed, bedside cabinets with lamps, a small digital clock, a chest of drawers/dressing table with mirror, hair dryer, the bedroom also has fitted wardrobes with storage shelves, from the window is a view out over the swimming pool and the ravine. The bedroom is fitted with remote controlled air conditioning / heating as well as a ceiling fan.





The2nd bedroom The 2nd bedroom: has two single beds, which can be stored under each other for more room if nessessary, a bedside cabinet with lamp, a small single wardrobe, wall mirror and again fitted with a ceiling fan. There is a sliding patio door leading out onto a small tiled private patio area with table & chairs.



The Bathroom: Is compact with bath/shower, wash basin, toilet, and bidet. It is also fitted with a small electrIcally heated towel rail. There is a small window onto the rear patio area.

The lounge The lounge: is tastefully furnished with a two seater settee, a three seater bed settee, wall units, coffee table and a large rug, mini Hi-Fi / CD player, DVD player, with a large selection of CD's and DVD's. The digital satellite television provides 70 TV channels including most english programmes. You also get some radio stations, at one end of the lounge is a dining area with an extending dining table and four chairs. The lounge window looks out onto the front patio and views across the swimming pool & ravine. It has the benifit of remote controlled air conditioning / heating, and is also fitted with two ceiling fans



Front patio area Front patio area: Outside the front entrance is a lovely patio area equiped with lovely mosaic tiled table, comfortable relaxing chairs and a large parasol, there is also a retractable awning, it has views over a ravine which is eventually to be landscaped to the same high standard as others in the area, with walkways trees etc. From the terrace there is also has a good view looking out across one of the swimming pools, which is open all year. Down the few step and you have your own off road gated parking space.
