Well, the group still consists of Sister Pat and Brothers Tom, Chris, Steve, Ken and Mike. They still record and release the odd album every now and again, the most recent being "A Grey Lock Or Two" recorded at Barry Temple's Shoe Box Studios in Newcastle. They still sing traditionally orientated songs in unaccompanied harmony, like to have a bit of a laugh and wash it all down with a few odd pints. That's about it really, download that and you'll be fully updated!
.......tis Teesside & Yorkshire thats still in my blood..........
the romance of the nasty fumes, the dales that mean good................... R Granger People continue to say nice things about them, here are the top four favourites to date:
"The Northern Wilsonia - a Vocal Orchestra!"
"….they now stand apart as the foremost harmony group entertaining folk audiences today…"
"Singing with the Wilson Family in your company, makes life so much easier!"
"There's a musical honesty about them that links past and present together .They are among the people who go about singing traditional songs that really move me……They are what they are, they do what they do and they say what they say and it's very direct and I love that. They are not pretenders"
