About Jed Williams
Jed Williams was a highly significant figure in the local and national jazz scene for many years. Among his achievements are setting up, with others, the Welsh Jazz Society, setting up and running the the legendary Four Bars Inn, getting the Jazz UK magazine going to replace a slew of smaller regional magazine and most notably running the Brecon Jazz Festival for 20 years, making it one of the top international festivals, and pretty much on a shoe string.
Perhaps the most remarkable aspect of his achievements is that of their endurance and the loyalty and affection that Jed enjoyed from colleagues and musicians.
