After years on the international cabaret circuit Lady Jayne has taken up residence in the UK. Already an established name in many venues throughout the country, she continues to dominate the British entertainment scene.

The star of previous productions ‘’Fabulous Females’’ and ‘’The One Wo-Man Show’’ is back!!

A BRAND NEW PRODUCTION

‘’BOLDLY BLUE’’

‘’A MUSICAL CELEBRATION OF ADULTS ONLY SONGS’’

PREMIERE:

AUGUST 2ND 2002, HILL STREET THEATRE EDINBURGH

WHAT DID THE CRITICS SAY?

THREE WEEKS:

You got to have boobs – B-O-O-B-S! Lady Jayne van Camp takes us back to a time when sex was sung about in a more sophisticated way and innuendo was important, compared to today when things are almost too graphic. Ironically these songs were banned from radio play in their time, when now no one would bat an eye. Lady Jayne takes time to go behind the scenes to give the audience some background on what was termed ‘stag music’ as well as visual presentations of associated aspects such as burlesque and album covers. She certainly dazzles in her costumes, with plenty of feathers and glitter. She interacted well with the audience. If you would like to know more about this world of saucy satire, this is a good place to start.

ONE4REVIEW.COM:

Lady Jayne Van Camp introduced me to her collections of 1950’s ‘Adults Only’ songs as well as her long play record covers and photographs of strippers and risqué performers.  Her costumes would make Lilly Savage scratch her eyes out just to try them on.
Lady Jane attempts to put her audience at ease by finding out a little about each of them in-between songs.  It soon becomes apparent that the bounds of acceptability have broadened quite considerably since these songs were written.  Often it was not what was sung but the implications of the words.
I went to see the show out of sheer curiosity and ended up thoroughly enjoying myself.
Congratulations Lady Jayne, keep up the good work.
