A1 Computer Services was formed in 2000
by Bob Jeffries, an independent trainer for Pegasus
accounting and other software.
Bob's experience derives from
over 20 years involvement with Pegasus
software.
The initial contact started with the original Pegasus Single User system in
1982, when the software was running on Sirius, Commodore and other early
personal computers. After the introduction of the IBM PC, Pegasus
started a period of rapid growth. Bob was recruited by Pegasus to
act as a Dealer Manager, liaising between the company and their dealer base
throughout London and the South East.
After leaving Pegasus in 1988 Bob
joined a major Pegasus reseller, eventually becoming Sales & Marketing
Director. In the early 90's it was clear a new product was
needed to replace the successful, but increasingly out-dated Pegasus Senior
range - Bob took the lead in identifying a package Sequel Accounts as
being an excellent step forward from Pegasus. By the mid-90's
Pegasus recognised the quality of Sequel and acquired ownership and developed
the software into the Pegasus Opera package, they enjoyed great success
throughout the rest of the decade. Bob's close
associationship with the early days of Pegasus and his knowledge of the SME
accounting system market led Pegasus to include him in a variety of dealer
panels and technical teams as the Opera product was expanded and improved.
This close knowledge of the
company and product means Bob has exceptional skills and understanding of how
the product can be used to its best effect in a wide range of businesses and
other organisations.
Now operating as an independent
trainer and consultant, Bob can use his experience to help any Pegasus user,
or company planning to install an accounting system, and make the best decisions on
how to get the most from their selected software.
