Ok so were into March already its seems like for ever since my last blog so we will start with the excuses first.

Had a few things to sort out like a new car which should arrive at the end of the month.

The one I have bought is in black and will be my office for the next two years The Old (2 years now) Skoda superb has served me well but is now a bit tired and it is time for a change So that is my excuse for not doing much with the website this month.

And now the Next Excuse for me not getting much time certainly toward the middle and end of February and into March I spent more time with my daughter Georgie in preparation for her Foundation exam.

I have to say she did me proud on the 8th March Georgie passed her foundation exam with a pass of 92% so not exactly a scrape through.

We sat down and logged her details into the ofcom site and a few days later she now has the call sign M6GEZ. Here is Georgie (front right) with the others who passed on the day.

She has made me very proud. well done Georgie

And so to what I have been up to on the radio !!!

The bands are still a bit hit and miss here in England with good days and bad days but we have managed to work so far this year 114 dxcc I was hoping to try and work 50 new ones a month but as we are now mid march i don't think i can muster 36 new ones in the next 15 days.

Of note I worked VK for the first time on 40mts and into Tasmania VK7 which on a G5RV made me happy.

The K5D  Desecheo Island came and went and I managed to get into there log a couple of times even on 40mts heard them on 80mt but just not strong enough to work.

Ok so that's that time to go work some radio

Ok so update time

I Have been given a hard time over factual data on my blog so it looks like i need to update it more often then i should

So into the wonderful world of radio not a lot to report realy I had set myself a goal to work 50 new countries a month but that plan has fallen by the way side.

Given the fact were nearly at the end of March and my total is only 119 so 31 new countries in the next few days seems a bit unrealistic but it was fun trying for the first two months

so the only a few new ones this month.

The 6mt band should start coming to life soon as should 10mts so I hope to be spending a bit more time on those bands rather than listening to the zoo on 20mts
