SPA cricket club were formed in the early 1970’s.  From their inception,  the club have played in both the Mutual and now in the Leicester cricket leagues.  The clubs home matches for the past
few seasons have been at the Recreation Ground in Kirby Muxloe.
  
2009 will also see the club enter the LOROS cup after a few years of absence from the cup tournament.  In addition SPACC also take part in a National cricket tournament organised by Shree
Prajapati Association.  Over the last 5 years, SPA have won the tournament twice and been, runners up and semi finalist once.
  
Off the field there are many events organised throughout the year,  from days outs to Family curry  nights.  The club also aims to support the SPA association in various events that are held at the
SPA centre on Ulverscroft Road , which will be one of the venues for the 2009 Special Olympics being hosted in Leicester .
  
With indoor and outdoor training organised throughout the year, SPA CC have a thoroughly fun packed year.
