X-Men : Evolution Episode Guide

Set around a state high school, Bayville High, the series follows the complex lives of a group of young mutants - kids born with extraordinary powers. It follows them as they try to learn control of their 'gifts', in a world that fears and hates them for being different. The majority of the core cast are young people placed in the care of Dr. Charles Xavier, at his "Institute for Gifted Children".

Based on the hugely popular comic book series, The "X-Men : Evolution" cartoon series follows an independent storyline from either any of the original comic books, TV series or movies, although it does draw heavily from the spirit of the original comics. The core team here is made up of Xavier, Logan (Wolverine), & Ororo (Storm) as the adults/teachers, Scott (Cyclops) & Jean (...) as the senior students, and Kurt (Nightcrawler), Rogue (...), Kitty (Shadowcat) and Evan (Spyke) as the juniors. Starting with the second season, we see an even junior team (the 'New Mutants').

Facing off against Xaviers team, is a loose team founded by Principle Raven Darkholm (Mystique), comprising of Lance (Rictor), Todd (Toad), Fred (Blob), and (sometimes) Pietro (Quicksilver). The backer for this team, known as the Brotherhood, is a sinister (!) figure from Xavier's past ... Eric Lensher, aka Magneto. In addition to the Brotherhood, Magneto has other operatives, principally Sabretooth.
