LEGO Imperial Star Destroyer (ISD) - Part 2This is the second of my "quick & dirty" pages looking at the new LEGO Imperial Star Destroyer (ISD). If you've jumped straight in at this point, you should probably start here. In Part 2, I take a look at some of the interesting (to me anyway) packets and pieces you will find when openning the box ... The first three images show some of the 'mono-culture' bags, those bags that contain many pieces, all the same ... A bag of 140 "Panel 1 x 2 x 1" ...
The inventory on Peeron (used to) says there are 44 of these 'taps' in the set ... what do you think ?
"Tile 1 x 1 with Clip" (131), "Tile 1 x 2 Grille with Groove" (119), "Technic Pin 1/2" (218) and "Technic Pin with Friction" (153) bags. Numbers in brackets are quantities from the Peeron inventory.
Next shows the 66 (!) gray 1x16 Technic bricks in the set, in the form of an unstable tower. There are another 8 of them, but in black - when I added them, the tower collapsed before I could take a photo ...
The last one, for now, shows some of the more interesting pieces - ones that seem to be rare (or even unique) shapes or shape/colour combinations (well, I haven't seen them before). As well as these, there are also the white roofing pieces in the MINI-RBR which also seem to be a bit special. The one that made me go 'ooohh' is the one in the bottom left corner ...
There is a fully parts inventory on Peeron, which appears to be relatively accurate at first glance. The only obvious error is the colour of the yellow items ("Magnet Holder Plate 2 x 2 Bottom", "Plate 2 x 4", and "Technic Axle Pin") which (in my set at least) are tan-coloured rather than yellow. [NOW CORRECTED] End of part 2 ... more to follow, soon ! [SORRY - NEVER TOOK PHOTOS DURING CONSTRUCTION, SO NO PART 3] |
