Singers Ela Southgate and Rachel Dey joined forces with jazz guitarist Matt Wall in 2006 to form the band erm... The name comes from the first letters of their names. They share a passion for the Brazilian bossa nova, most notably the compositions of Jobim and Bonfa, but they also draw inspiration from the classic jazz performers and composers. Their repertoire consists of bossas, swing numbers, originals and the occasional reworking of a pop classic.

They perform simply as a trio, or sometimes add drums or bass for a fuller sound.
