Richard joined the Boys in March ‘99, & has complimented the line up very well. He has a huge record collection covering a whole range of music styles but has fitted into the band so well that we have renamed him Rockin’ Ricky!
He has a vast experience of playing live & among his claims to fame is being the drummer for a little known rock band in 1970 called Wreckage with guitarist Brian May & singer .... none other than Freddie Mercury who of course both went on to form Queen. This can all be confirmed by reading the Queen book, As It Began.

Dan's
father and brother were professional guitarists, what else could he do but
join them. He started playing guitar when he was 10 years old and his early
influences were Kenny Burrell, Scotty Moore and Wes Montgomery.
While still at school Dan played with a number
of Country and Rock’n’Roll groups, and then went on to study guitar at the
Ike Isaacs School of Modern Guitar, sponsored by Hammersmith and Fulham
Council.
From 1974 to 1978 he taught guitar at the ‘Casa de Musica’ in Kensington.
Over the years Dan has played with a number of different groups, and dance
bands, most recently Remember Then, Jukebox and Jimmi & The Rockitz. He has
also played guitar on a number of recording sessions and TV adverts. Listen
out for the guitar solo in the Wilkinson’s Sword advert - that’s him.
Dan joined us in January 2003, stayed for
2 years, decided to try a stint with the Corvettes, and now is back with us
in April 2008.
Welcome back Dan.
Kev plays the slap bass, he also sings solo & gives Bob vocal backing. Kev has been in various bands & actually started out as a drummer, until he decided that he would prefer to stand nearer the front!
Kev has been fortunate enough to tour with some stars of the 50’s, among his favourites being the Blue Caps (the great Gene Vincent’s backing band). Main influences include Carl Perkins & Gene Vincent.
Kev's solo numbers are all Rock and Roll jivers. He "doesn't do" ballads.
Kev has been part of the band since March ‘95
Bob is the main vocalist & rhythm guitarist. He is the only original member of the band which he formed back in 1989. He became interested in Rock ’n’ Roll after seeing a season of Elvis films on TV & buying his first LP, G.I. Blues when he was 10 years old. He played the album over & over singing along until he knew all the songs.
The original aim of the band was to take the sounds of Rock ‘n’ Roll to the social & working mans clubs & in ‘93 Bob discovered that there was a whole network of Rock ’n’ Roll & Jive clubs throughout the country, & it wasn’t long before Bob & the Boys were playing on the “Rocking Circuit”.
Bob’s main influences are Elvis (obviously), Ricky Nelson, Johnny Burnette & Buddy Holly, although he will do songs by Cliff, Billy Fury, Conway Twitty, Roy Orbison, Bill Haley, and anyone else of that era who performed a good song. He does mostly jivers at the Rock and Roll clubs, but at the social clubs he does a good mixture of 50s songs that include many ballads, strollers and boppers.
