Stage-Right introduces children to the joy of drama, it works by promoting better communication skills.
Stage-Right shows children how to share ideas and to believe in themselves; this results in improved confidence and self esteem.
Stage-Right is a children's drama company based in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire.
It's the brainchild of Jeannie Sutton (ALAM) and is a drama company with a difference. Jeannie comments "It's not just about the performing arts, Stage-Right is about giving all children more confidence and encouraging communication through drama games".
Under Jeannie's personal direction, youngsters reap the benefit of her extensive theatrical experience, gained from her early start in the Scunthorpe Youth Theatre and her professional training at the Birmingham School of Speech and Drama, along with numerous other acting roles and directing many plays over the years.
Every Saturday for two hours, children can meet up and take part in acting, mime, improvisation and drama games. The Stage-Right method is all about making drama a fun and enjoyable pastime for children from the age of 6 to 13. It costs just £5 per 2 hour session and there is no fixed term to sign up for - if you come to play you pay - it's that simple, and if you miss a session you don't pay. Stage-Right operates all through half term and the school summer holidays.
