Stage-Right Drama Workshops for Schools Director: Jeannie Sutton A.L.A.M.
‘Stage-Right’ is currently planning a theatre in education tour of 'Saving the Planet' written by Jeannie Sutton A.L.A.M. for junior and primary schools which will run during the summer term 2012, followed by further dates during the autumn term 2012. This is a golden opportunity to give your pupils the chance to see live theatre in their school which is affordable. This fast moving fun production involves audience participation, costume changes, and great characters. Also, because environmental issues are always in the news, this show is an ideal way to introduce the awareness of global issues to young children in an entertaining but educational way they can understand.
‘Saving the Planet’ also gives schools an exciting project to hold their own auditions to pre-select six children to take part in a 45 minute drama workshop with actors (Emilie McCleave and Nick Fletcher) where they will be coached on basic performing skills. The children chosen by the school will be provided with costumes and will then perform small parts in the actual show with Emilie and Nick.
The complete package of workshop and show could be part funded by the school and part funded by a small contribution from parents. If you would like to discuss the 'Saving the Planet' touring show further please call Jeff or Jeannie Sutton for further information and available dates. Drama is fun with Stage-Right!
