Unlike hypnosis, neurolinguistic
programming (NLP) was discovered relatively recently. It was developed
by two investigators called Bandler and Grinder after many thousands of
hours studying how high achievers, successful and happy people behave
and interact together. By understanding and changing our patterns of
behaviour and how we think and experience the world, NLP practitioners
are able to help their clients with the same emotional, physical and
psychological conditions as hypnotherapy. In fact, both approaches can
be used in a complimentary way.
Hypnotherapy
and NLP are safe and effective alternatives to traditional medicines.
Some people find that they can be very effective when used in
combination with the medicines prescribed by their GP. Others turn to
these techniques when traditional medicines have failed. In either
case, hypnotherapy and NLP can often be effective in just a few
sessions.
