Video Blaster

Video Blaster is designed to aid in the repair of domestic VCRs.

It is designed for the hobbyist rather than the professional, however, if you happen to be a professional, it should be of interest.

I would appreciate comments, more information, advice on which models I

should
remove due to obsolecence. (And advice on typos.)

The format is the same as that of my first effort GamesBlaster, hence the
name.

You will find GamesBlaster at http://www.tanto12.freeserve.co.uk

You can follow the link from my Home Page.

You will have to excuse me for not having all of the information available for input immediately, but my notes started over 10 years ago, and it may take me some time to type all of this up.

In the meantime, I would appreciate any input whatsoever, hints, help,

praise,
 or even pointing out errors.

The hints contained within this database are just that. NO liability will be taken on my part for any damage caused by acting upon the information

contained
 within these pages.

All of the information in this an my other databases will be kept simple,

there
will be no frames on any of my pages, this is to keep users online time to a

minimum, as in the UK we generaly do not have Free Telephone access to the

internet.

BTW, don't you think that we pay over the odds for just about EVERYTHING in
 the UK.

This database was originally made in AmigaGuide ® format, before I converted the tags to HTML.

I still use my Trusty Amiga A1200, even though it in no way resembles

Commodores
original specification. I use the Amiga for all of my important work as it
is so
reliable, and I spend most of my time fixing software and hardware conflicts
for
all of the people I know with IBM compatibles. (Including my own).

I find that I get better results with my Miggy, as I get no strange text losses when editing large files.

I am fully conversant with most Software packages on both platforms, but

look
forward to the day when I can use all of my favourite software on the one
 platform again.

Currently, I run most of my PC and MAC software from the Miggy, but the IBM compatibility only emulates a 486, so for any Processor intensive tasks I

use
 the Pentium.

For games; nothing beats the Amiga for Dual playfield stuff, and for 3D gaming there's always the PSX.

Point of interest. The game which heralded the rise of the IBM compatibles

as
a games machine - DOOM - which they said couldn't be done on an Amiga, is
FAR
to fast on my A1200, I have to load another couple of programs to slow the
gameplay down.

 Interesting isn't it.
