Holy Island is some 3km long and rises to a height of 1,030ft or 314m at Mullach Mor. Since 1991 it has been a spiritual retreat for Bhuddist monks and nuns. The human residents are outnumbered by the Soay sheep and wild goats; though by far the most numerous inhabitants are the rabbits that thrive here.
