Mating Body to Base

I originally intended to simply screw the body tube to the base, but the body material is too thin, 3mm, to take a machine screw. In the end I settled on the idea of clamping the tube between the base and the top plate.

I’ve used four pieces of 6mm diameter stainless steel rod to stretch between the top plate and base.

I don’t like the semi-oval VESA mount brackets. I’ll re-think them before continuing with the project.
