Case Body Construction.

The body is constructed from an off-cut of aluminium extrusion. The tube, supplied by a friend (cheers Andy), is used as a cable spreader on yacht masts, hence the aerofoil section.

The off-cut was cut into two roughly equal lengths and the narrow back was removed with a metal cutting blade in a jigsaw.

Annealing on the gas stove, using liquid soap as a temperature gauge makes the narrow end easier to bend open, forming half of the case body

The two halves were then expertly welded together by another friend.
