 | To take part in OCEAN championships
at YOUTH level you will need the
following awards:
 | Surf Competence - for ALL wet events.
 | Same as current award. |

 | Board Competence - for ALL board events.
 | Same as current award. |

 | Ski Competence - for ALL ski events.
 | Same as current award except you will now have to use the
ski to 'provide support' for a swimmer. |
 | No expiry date. |

 | To take part in OCEAN championships
at OPEN
level you will need the following awards:
 | Surf Life Saving Award (excluding resuscitation and first aid)
- for ALL wet events.
 | If the resuscitation and first aid are taken within 6
months, the full award is awarded. |

 | Ski Competence - for ALL ski events.
 | Same as current award except you will now have to use the
ski to 'provide support' for a swimmer. |
 | No expiry date. |

 | For Surf Boat and IRB competitions, a special award is
required. |
|
 | To take part in OCEAN championships
at MASTERS level you will need the
following awards:
 | Surf Life Saving Award (excluding resuscitation and first aid)
- for ALL wet events.
 | If the resuscitation and first aid are taken within 6
months, the full award is awarded. |

 | Ski Competence - for ALL ski events.
 | Same as current award except you will now have to use the
ski to 'provide support' for a swimmer. |

 | For SURF BOAT and
IRB competitions, a special award is

 | To take part in BEACH events at
ALL LEVELS, no award is required. |
 | To take part in POOL events at
ALL LEVELS, no award is required
however the Team manager will have to confirm everyone's ability to
swim 50m. |

 | Assessors are selected by the Instructor, they may be 'in house'
as long as the assessor has not been involved in training. The RLO
must be informed at least 48 hours before the award takes place.
