Album Reviews:
WWW.MUSICOMH.COM - have given the album 9/10 "Laymar were born to soundtrack the desolation of the inner city" see full review click link here
ORGAN MAGAZINE made "In Strange Lines and Distances" album of the week
High Voltage gave the album 8/10 on their webzine and printed magazine - link here
THE-FLY MAGAZINE - 4/5 ‘In Strange Lines And Distances’ staggers from being the most thrilling thing you’ll hear for a long time (‘NU1’), to being daunting and at times terrifying (‘Swords’),
Audio Scribbler recently reviewed the album and gave it 8/10 - link here
BEARDED MAGAZINE -‘Swords’ will make you shiver: 'Juvenile Whole Life' is nine minutes of sensory exploration
AMERICANAUK - gave the album 7/10 "there’s something deftly and naturally cinematic to all that occurs on ‘In Strange Lines & Distances’" see full review click link here
16/11/07: After a few days in Airtight Studios we've just put together a mix of 8 tracks. This needs tidying up and other bits and pieces being attended to it but the album is almost ready. Some new stuff and some old stuff recorded differently plus we've included NU1 a track that we've not played live a for ages but we always felt that it deserved a release.
22/10/07 : Laymar are extremely pleased to announce that they have signed a contract with Tenor Vossa Records to have an album released and distributed; look out for this early 2008!! For more information see our page on the Tenor Vossa Records website (http://www.tenorvossa.co.uk/pages/Laymar.html)
"Our headliners, LAYMAR, are a Manchester institution. If you've not seen them yet then you need to punch yourself directly in the throat. This is some of the most intense and dark electronic music that's ever been produced anywhere. Watching them is like having some kind of out of body experience where you feel like your head is been violated and educated at the same time." - Event Promoter
