The Alexander Technique is a learnt mental skill which enables you to become aware of your hidden habits and choose a different response. For example, as you are reading this, notice how you are sitting - comfortably or not? Do you feel poised and able to move freely and flexibly or have you been drawn down into the screen? All our daily activities take their physical toll and the Alexander Technique can reduce unnecessary wear and tear on your body and help relieve pain.

As a major research project published in the British Medical Journal shows:- "One to one lessons in the Alexander Technique, from registered teachers, have long term benefits for patients with chronic back pain" BMJ
