The parents and grandparents of Thomas of around 1755 are
speculative and not validated. I spent time checking background
research on several parents who named their child Thomas Quine
around this time. I eliminated the other potentials based on
information recorded about their families in later times and was
left with this couple whom I believe are probably the parents of our
Thomas Quine.

Isabel of 1718 married when she was 7 months pregnant. There is a 21
year gap between first and last child. This is acceptable as she was
still only 45 years of age when her last child Patrick was born. It
seems strange that there is a three year gap between all seven
children. The odds of this being just a coincidence are quite high.
There is a record of an Isabel Quine alias Creetch buried Braddan 30
Jan 1798, this is probably her entry.
The Mormon site contains entries for the parents of John Quine’s
wife Isobel Creech that can take us back further. The surname was
spelt as Creetch in that age.
