Hope 'n' Glory Rally
23-26th July

Can't be arsed to write much. It's hardly going to be read by many so...

Terrific weekend. camping was a few feet from the bar (handy). Entertainment by way of a Northern Irish group called Doghouse & a geezer called DJ Eddie. Both were superb.
I arrived there Saturday morning after a crappy ride having a heat seizure & riding against a strong wind. I put the tent up and set about tucking into my carry out of Guinness and and a rather quaint French white (wine). 1999 I believe. Anyway, met some lads from Enniskillen and then arrived one Nick Purser. Who had just been to carry out a repair on his Li Series II.

I used to knock about with Nick from time to time during the 80's so it was an absolute delight to see him again. He came up to the rally from Poole in Dorset on the Friday, along with a great couple, (who's names I forget now sorry).

Saturday evening before the "Do" and Nick treated me to a meal...a cheese burger from the chippie van. After we had spent the afternoon reminiscing the old days we went into the club and the group & DJ had us swinging our pants all night.

Sunday morning woke to wet & crappy weather early. I woke Nick (sorry mate) and said au revoir. I hope to see him again someday. Got home absolutely soaked (& knackered) later that morning.

Saturday morning, ready to get my fat arse off to Dungannon
Met up with an old mate from the 80's
Nick Purser, one of the nicest blokes you could ever meet

Nick still wears the patch of the club I was a member of in the 80's Catch 22 Scooter Club
Nick and his Series 2, with Tin foil for gasket repairs. Nick swears by the posh type that Tescos sell (snob).

Nick with evil stare on my GP

The campsite with tents, scooters, scooterists & Nick
The campsite, again with Scooters, tents scooterists, beer cans and again Nick with double vision (he said he was taking a picture of me)
