Shotokan Karate Training

As training progresses you develop better muscle tone, speed of reaction and balance.
You should derive satisfaction from learning and applying many techniques designed to overcome attackers. Most of the training is done without partners but the applications are of course done with other students under carefully controlled instruction to avoid injury.

For this reason, great emphasis is laid on discipline and respect; when trained, even young children can inflict serious injuries. Irresponsible behaviour is not tolerated.
