Everything on this page is Copyright © Ben Ward. I figured it was time to upload all of my old crap. Most of it is unfinished, and even more are years old. I accept no responsibility for damages. Thanks for visiting. If you wish to get in touch, please do so over the Flames BackBurner forums.

Gameboy Advance:

If you want to play these Gameboy Advance games, you'll either need a Flash Cart for your GBA, or an Emulator for your PC. Either way works fine with these games. If you want to buy a flash cart, look here. If you want an emulator (the easier option), download VisualBoyAdvance.

Super Mega Happy Snackman - Control the vodka swigging super happy guy! (296Kb)
Switch - Classic "Ikaruga-style" side-scrolling shooter! (231Kb)
Compilation Cart - Compilation cartridge framework. Contains a couple of minigames. (169Kb)
Frontend Test - A test for an advanced frontend menu system. (69Kb)
BB Pong - Very basic pong game. (22Kb)

Nintendo DS:

To play Nintendo DS games, you'll need a passthrough unit and a GBA flash cart, or an Emulator for your PC. NDS development is very much in it's infancy, and these demos might not work on your machine. If you want a passthrough unit (hard work!), click here. If you are after an emulator, check out Dualis.

Snackman Touch - Basic touchscreen demo. Guide Snackman around the screen! (11Kb)
Missile Command DS - Work in progress. Update of Missile Command to use the touchscreen. (107Kb)

Websites:

The following is a list of (most of) my web sites. Some are successful, some aren't. Some are beautiful, some aren't the prettiest! Take the time to check them all out!

Flames BackBurner - Popular fan site of the Guildford Flames ice-hockey team.
Pulse Macduff Fashion Stores - Stores in Guildford and Kingston. Men and women's fashion.
Reach 4 Reiki - Learn Reiki with Linda Nettleship.
Moulsecoomb - An online comic about the life of a few good students.
BB Stats - Ice-Hockey results service.
Guildford Knights - Guildford's senior level roller hockey team.
Ash Avalanche - Excellent roller hockey team, for all ages.
Draughts - Online Draughts (Internet Explorer ONLY!)

Windows:

Most of these programs are written in DarkBasic/Pro, and a few in OpenGL. The early ones aren't "proper" code (e.g. C/C++), mainly because I wrote them all when I was about 15. Ninja3 and Smash-Out are still pretty neat though, despite the massive file size. It's quite nice to keep these here for naustalgia, although they look pretty dated now!

Ninja3 (Shareware) - Best game ever, worst voice acting ever! (6.19Mg)
Smash-Out (Shareware) - Cool block bashing game. (10.7Mg)
Alien Dance - Unfinished dancing demo. Has awesome intro. (8.0Mg)
dbChess - A cool chess tutor. No AI. (2.28Mg)
Pathfinding Test - A quick pathfinding test. Not entirely accurate! (2.25Mg)
Typing Tutor - A Visual Basic typing tutor. (5kb)
OpenGL Pong - An OpenGL test which demos cool dynamic lighting. (49kb)
Box Test - It's all about the transparent boxes. OpenGL again. (40kb)
Reflect Box - Funky shiny reflecting boxes. Spin them with the arrow keys. (48kb)
