Welcome to the Norwich RA Group

The Norwich Group has been established for more than thirty five years and was the
first group in the Norfolk Area of the Ramblers Association.  The Norfolk Area
publishes a four monthly newsletter which is distributed to all Norfolk RA
members, it includes a walks programme from each group in the area.

All Ramblers Association members are invited to take part in any walk in the Area
Programme.  Non-members are welcome to participate and are invited to join the
Association after sampling some of the variety of walks on offer.  You can join by
visiting the RA website, (simply click on the RA logo below) or contact our group
secretary Email Derek Goddard.

The Ramblers Association exists to facilitate, for the benefit of everyone, the
enjoyment and discovery that walking outdoors can bring and to promote
respect for the life of the countryside.

The association encourages; walking: protects rights of way; defends the beauty
of the countryside; and has campaigned for many years for freedom to
roam over uncultivated open country.

The association is a democratic, voluntary organisation, registered as a charity
(No. 1093577).

 Disclaimer Notice

All sporting and leisure activities have inherent hazards associated with them and rambling is no exception.  In spite of the safety of members always being the paramount concern, accidents will occasionally occur.  It is important, therefore, that when entering into the activity, each participant (member or guest) appreciates that they have a responsibility to identify the hazards associated with the activity and take all reasonable steps to eliminate or minimise the potential for an accident to arise.

HELP PLEASE !

The Ramblers Association Norfolk is always in need of volunteers.
You can help to protect the paths and country side in your own locality.
Help is needed with survey work, with monitoring the state of footpaths and
with checking on planning applications that affect Rights of Way.
