Firm Foundations

For the past five years or so our Company has attended Firm Foundations. FF is a great weekend held at the Brigade HQ in Hemel Hempstead. We invite all young people from our church who are in year 9 or above to join us at the Spring Bank holiday at the end of May.

 

Jumble Sales

Our Company organises two Jumble Sales each year. They are very successful - some would say the best in Manchester!

 

Competitions

The 5th Manchester take part in a wide raging number of Competitions - most of these are at Battalion Level. Competition helps to build teamwork and sportsmanship. Some of the recent competitions our Company has taken part in are Uni-hoc, Band, Drill, Pool and Five-a-side. We also participate in many other non-competitive events.

 

Achievements

Since 1951 many hundreds of Boys and young men have worked hard to gain many different achievements. Some achievements are recognised by the awarding of badges; others are less tangible but still rewarding and members always gain satisfaction and a sense of pride.
